The 2nd AC's sheet. Every roll or card that goes through the camera gets logged here: what was on it, at what stop, on which lens, whether it was sync or MOS, and whether it was any good. It travels with the media to the DIT and then to post, and it's the record everyone falls back on when a file goes missing or a take can't be found.
Keep the good/NG column honest. A take marked good that nobody can use costs someone an hour of searching, and the comments field is where you say why — soft, gate hair, boom in frame — while you still remember.
What's on this sheet
- Camera header — Camera unit, operator, 1st AC, 2nd AC, camera body, media type, FPS and base.
- Roll / take log — Roll or card, scene, take, lens, T-stop, FPS, filter/ND, MOS or sync, good/NG and comments.
- Camera team notes — Lens swaps, camera issues and continuity-sensitive technical details.
