Scriptease is designed as an offline-first desktop application. We do not provide project cloud storage for core usage. Your screenplay and production files are intended to remain on your own device storage.

What We Do Not Collect for Core App Usage

• No mandatory user account to run the app day-to-day.
• No required cloud project sync for scripts and planning files.

What May Be Processed by Third Parties

• Purchase, tax, invoice, and receipt details are processed by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record.
• License activation metadata is processed to validate license rights.
• Update request metadata is processed to deliver software updates.

Data Security Position

Because project files are designed to remain on your local disk, exposure risk associated with third-party cloud project storage is reduced by architecture. You remain responsible for endpoint/device security and backups.
